1. SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium
The SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium offers an immersive journey into the aquatic world. Located in the Mall of America at 120 East Broadway East Side, Level One, this aquarium is truly a must-see spectacle. Get up close with thousands of sea creatures, including sharks, turtles, stingrays, sea turtles, and other marine species.
Walk through the 300-foot-long aquarium tunnel and watch the sea creatures swim above your head and around you. There is even an interactive area where kids can touch jellyfish and anemones. After exploring the aquarium, pass by the gift shop and check out the wide variety of marine-themed merchandise.
2. Hyland-Bush-Anderson Lakes Park Reserve
Venture outdoors to the expansive Hyland-Bush-Anderson Lakes Park Reserve, located at 10145 E Bush Lake Road. Go for a refreshing walk along the beautiful trail that circles the scenic lake, or spend the afternoon watching birds, ducks, rabbits, and other wildlife. There is a lovely picnic area and a kids’ playground with slides, climbing platforms, netted tubes, and tire swings.
You can rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat at the park and set off into the lake for some adventure. However, if you own a canoe or kayak, you can bring it instead.
