The Fusion has the signature ford grille, a sleek aerodynamic profile, and sporty rear-end styling that gives undeniable road presence. S trim features a chrome grille surround, configurable daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, body-color door handles and power side mirrors, and LED taillights.
SE models add a chrome-finished grille, and 17-inch alloy wheels, while the SEL offers LED headlights and signature lighting, 18-inch wheels, chrome door handle inserts, and heated auto-dimming mirrors with turn signals, approach lights, and memory. Engine Options
Under the hood of the S trim is a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine delivering 173 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Powering the SE is a lively 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque.
Standard in the Titanium and optional in the SE and SEL is a powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. A smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission is paired with the gas engines.
All but the S trim have a hybrid option featuring a 2.0-liter engine linked to an 88 kW electric motor. The total system output is 188 horsepower. Titanium trim is also available as a plug-in hybrid.
Interior Features
Inside the spacious driver-focused cabin, you’ll find plenty of room for five adults. The trunk has 16 cubic feet of cargo space which can be increased by folding the 60/40 split rear seats. S models offer push-button start, air conditioning, a configurable 4.2-inch multi-information display, a rotary gear shift dial, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the Sync infotainment system with four-speaker audio.
The SE features dual-zone climate control, two 4.2-inch multi-information displays, and Sync 3 with six-speaker audio. SEL trim has intelligent access and remote start, simulated leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats, driver’s seat with memory, a leather-bound steering wheel, and 11-speaker audio system. Titanium models add leather-trimmed upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, ambient lighting, a power moonroof, paddle shifters, a voice activated navigation system, and a Sony 12-speaker sound system.
Driver Assistance Features
Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology is standard on all Fusion trims and includes AdvanceTrac with electronic stability control, brake assist, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, a lane keeping system, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic warning, hill start assist, a rearview camera, rain -sensing wipers, and automatic high beams. The SE adds reverse parking sensors, while Titanium models have adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.
