The F-150 Raptor
If you’re looking for off-road performance, choose the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. This tough truck has a big, black grille, aluminum running boards, front and rear tow hooks, and heated side mirrors with memory settings. The tailgate’s bold FORD block letters match the ones on the grille. The Raptor comes with a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost engine that generates 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It’s connected to a 10-speed transmission with four-wheel drive.
The Terrain Management System has six driving modes: Normal, Mud and Sand, Weather, Sport, Rock, and Baja. Weather is for rain, snow, and ice, and Baja is for high-speed desert racing. Adjustable loading ramps make carrying a mower, an ATV, or another large item easy. The 2019 Raptor also comes with trailer sway control, roll stability control, FOX shocks designed for off-road terrain, and Trail Control, a cruise control system especially for rugged conditions. This versatile truck is fun to drive and almost 500 pounds lighter than the 2018 version.
