- Scoops Ice Cream and More
This family-owned ice cream parlor has been a popular destination in Bloomington for more than 25 years. It offers 32 different flavors of ice cream with a variety of fun toppings. You can also choose frozen yogurt, malts, shakes, smoothies, slushies, or even vegan sorbet. If you request a flavor and Scoops Ice Cream and More doesn’t have it, they’ll order it for you from one of the five creameries they get their ice cream from. They’re open on weekdays from 3:30 to 9:00 p.m., on Saturdays from noon to 9:00 p.m., and on Sundays from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
- Milkjam Creamery
This trendy ice cream shop in Minneapolis has lots of unique flavors. Try the Black dark chocolate, the Thai Tea black tea ice cream, the Violent Skye with Nutter Butters, peanuts, toasted coconuts, and chili, or the Cereal Killers with orange coriander milk and candied Fruity Pebbles. Adults can enjoy an ice cream float or a shake made with alcohol or malt with a shot of rum, Irish cream, or bourbon.
Hot dogs are available as well. Try the Guac-Ever dog with guacamole, peppers, tortilla chips, and cilantro. Milkjam Creamery is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11:00 p.m.
- Cone Brothers
Cone Brothers is in nearby Richfield, and it has a charming 1950s theme. You can choose more than 20 flavors of ice cream, a variety of vintage sodas, or smoothies made with 100% fruit.
The Cappuccino Break has Columbian coffee ice cream, chocolate-covered toffee, and candy-coated almonds. Heaps of Love is vanilla with Oreo pieces, cookie dough, caramel, pecans, chocolate, and brownie bits. Try the Mint Avalanche for Andes mint candies, mint ice cream, grasshopper cookies, and chocolate fudge swirl. Cone Brothers also serves Chicago-style hot dogs with poppy seed buns. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
- Wonders Ice Cream
This ice cream looks like a bunch of unique scrolls. It’s chilled at -20 degrees Fahrenheit and then flattened and rolled to give it an interesting shape. Several fun toppings are available, including gummy bears and sour gummy worms. Flavors include Pina Colada, Avocado, Taro, Vietnamese Coffee, Honeydew, Matcha Green Tea, Almond, and more. Vegan flavors are available, and there’s a shop in the Mall of America.
- Izzy’s Ice Cream
Izzy’s in Minneapolis is handmade, and you can choose from a huge variety of flavors. Try Egg Nog, Basil, Beets and Berries, Black Licorice, Cantaloupe, or Fig Tart. Many dairy-free options are available, and types of ice cream with alcohol include Crème de Menthe, Cherry Port, Cherries Jubilee, Bananas Foster, Rum Raisin, Summit Oatmeal Stout, and Banana Rum.
