Compact, fuel-efficient, and easy to maneuver around the city, the 2024 Ford Maverick offers plenty of hauling capacity. Use it to transport recreational equipment, luggage, or the new couch you just splurged on. The four-door crew cab seats five, and standard features like remote keyless entry and a telescoping steering wheel make the Maverick, available at your local Ford dealer, a comfortable option.

Plenty of Horsepower

The standard powertrain on the Ford Maverick is a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a hybrid option featuring a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor, which offers a combined 191 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard on both powertrains.

Five different drive modes, including Slippery, Eco, and Sport, allow you to optimize the performance of the Maverick depending on the conditions you’re driving in.

Hauling Capacity

The Maverick’s bed is four-and-a-half feet long and has six tie-downs and a 12-volt power outlet. A 110-volt outlet is offered as an option. A multi-position tailgate builds in versatility. Positioning it half closed allows you to carry longer materials, and folding it down completely opens up space for tailgating. Available dividers and bed lighting make it easy to customize the cargo area of this truck.

Opting for the four-cylinder engine and the optional towing package gets you a towing capacity of 4,000 pounds. The hybrid version of the Maverick can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

Off-Road Capable

Certain Maverick models can be equipped with the available FX4 Off-Road Package, which includes front tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and four additional drive modes. This package also includes hill descent control, which functions as a low-speed cruise control that helps the driver safely and smoothly guide the vehicle in its descent. A separate Tremor Off-Road Package offers a tuned suspension and additional ground clearance.

Interior Amenities

The Maverick is available in a variety of trim levels, some of which come with standard amenities like dual-zone automatic climate control and power front seats. All Mavericks have an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment screen equipped with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. SiriusXM satellite radio and wireless smartphone charging capability are optional.

Fuel Efficiency

Gas-powered versions of the Maverick get as many as 30 miles per gallon on the highway and 23 miles per gallon on city streets. Hybrid versions get as many as 33 miles per gallon on the highway and 42 miles per gallon in the city.
