Which Ford Escape Should You Drive?Are you considering the five-passenger 2020 Ford Escape but aren’t sure which trim is perfect for your family? As you narrow your choices from five to the perfect one, think about what type of engine you want. You’ll also want to consider any special features that would make it the ideal SUV for you and your family.

S

The S trim features a 60/40 split-folding rear seat that gives you plenty of space for all of your cargo. There is also plenty of room for people with 40.7 inches of legroom in the second row. If you keep the seat up, it has 33.5 cubic feet of space. There are 65.4 cubic feet of space if you have the back seat folded down. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine includes auto start/stop technology to increase your fuel mileage.

SE

The SE trim of the 2020 Ford Escape adds to the features of the S with a 10-way power driver’s seat. Use the controls to get comfortable behind the wheel. There are also heated front seats starting with this trim. Your SYNC 3 infotainment system keeps you connected on the road with hands-free commands. It works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The FordPass Connect System lets you check on your SUV from inside your home. It can lock and unlock your vehicle and handle up to 10 devices via the available 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection.

SE Sport Hybrid

The SE Sport Hybrid gives you a 2.5-liter iVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine that combines a continuous variable transmission with an 88-kW motor. The battery is below the second-row seat. There is a plug-in version coming soon for even more hybrid options. You can add the special SE Sport Premium package to this trim and get black roof rails and ActiveX seats. A panoramic sunroof and 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with Ebony-painted pockets are also a part of the package.

SEL

The SEL adds a standard hands-free foot-activated liftgate. You can adjust the liftgate to fit under low overhangs in a parking garage. It also includes a reverse sensing system. When you are traveling at low speeds, you’ll hear a series of beeps if you are close to something or someone behind the vehicle. The closer you get to something, the louder the beeps get. The seats are also made of the ActiveX seating material. Your new satellite radio includes the Traffic Link system.

Titanium

The Titanium upgrades your Ford Co-Pilot 360 system to the Ford Co-Pilot 360 assist. The upgraded system includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go by automatically adjusting your speed to the flow of traffic. There is also an evasive steering assist feature that helps you avoid potential crashes. Your Titanium includes parking assistance as a standard feature to take away the stress of street parking.
