If you’re planning to visit the Mall of America, make sure that a stop by the Lego Imagination Center is on your agenda. This premier attraction allows kids of all ages to play and exercise their imaginations. Let’s discuss some of the reasons the center is a must-visit.

Exhibits

The four-story, 6,500-square-foot Lego Imagination Center is home to some amazing Lego creations that even adults will enjoy viewing. These include a 34-foot robot, a dragon, and a Greek warrior. The center also features Lego artwork inspired by Minnesota history and wildlife.

Events

Lego fans will enjoy the many events hosted by the Imagination Center. Lego Life Meetings allow Lego enthusiasts to show off their building skills and exchange ideas. Weekly build challenges encourage builders to stretch their imaginations by challenging them to build a creation based on a given theme. The center also plays host to swaps, where fans can exchange their Minifigures and blocks with each other. All of these events are a great way to celebrate the Lego legacy.

Activities

The Lego Imagination Center features several play tables where kids can hang out and build whatever they put their minds to. For younger kids, there’s a special area stocked with Duplo blocks. Older kids will be thrilled by the enormous pick-a-brick wall featuring 180 different Lego elements to use in their builds. Parents are more than welcome to join in on the building fun or just sit back and relax if they prefer.

Friendly Staff

The staff at the Lego Imagination Center is friendly, knowledgeable,  and eager to answer any questions or provide assistance if needed. While the center sells a variety of building kits, including those that are rare and hard to find, the staff is happy to place special orders in the event that you don’t find what you’re looking for. If you’re planning a birthday party or other special event for your child, the staff is more than happy to assist in that planning as the center is available for birthday parties.

Location

Perhaps one of the things you’ll love most about the Lego Imagination Center is its convenient location inside of the Mall of America. After a day of shopping, the center allows you to rest your feet while the kids play. Once the kids have had their fill of building, you can enjoy a game of mini-golf at the mall’s golf course.

If all that play makes you work up an appetite, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the mall’s many dining establishments. You’ll find all of your fast food favorites in the food court or you can sit down at a full-service restaurant. The mall has so many things to do that it’s the perfect destination for a “staycation.”

These are just some of the reasons why you should plan a visit to the Lego Imagination Center at the Mall of America. Whether it’s for a special event or just an after-school activity, you and your kids are sure to enjoy it.
