The mall covers 4.2 million square feet and features 520 stores, featuring everything from clothing to computers. It is estimated a total of 86 hours is necessary to visit each store for about 10 minutes. This means there’s a lot of ground to cover and you won’t get it done in one day, so plan accordingly. Have a clear idea of what items you’re looking for and which stores have them. Then, lay out a route to keep you headed in the right direction.
When it’s time for a break from shopping to refuel, choose from 50 restaurants serving a diverse selection of culinary delights. If the kids get cranky and want a little play time, take your pick from Nickelodeon Universe, The Escape Game, Flyover America, SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf, and movie theaters with the latest flicks.
Tips for the Shopping Trip
If you’re a visitor from out of town and staying at a nearby hotel or other accommodation, leave unnecessary accessories in your hotel room so you aren’t dragging around excess baggage. For locals, leave extra items such as jackets, hats, scarves, and gloves in the car. This step is especially helpful if you plan to visit clothing stores to try on new outfits.

Safety
There are several safety issues to consider. Don’t carry large sums of cash, dress casually, and leave valuables at home. Have your keys in your hand when going to your vehicle, park in areas that are well-lit, and don’t leave anything of value where it can be seen. Be sure to keep an extra eye on kids, and be aware of your surroundings when you’re in the parking area.
