- Shantytown Bar and Grill
This bar and grill is considered to be “Bloomington’s little secret,” according to an article in StarTribune in 2018. The no. 1 seller on the menu is the Shanty burger, which includes cheddar and Swiss cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, and guacamole.
Other burgers highlighted as bestsellers on their menu include the chili cheeseburger with homemade chili, shredded cheese, onions, and sour cream. There is also the Mexican burger, which has seasoned sour cream, melted pepper cheese, and jalapenos. Finally, the Outback burger is prepped with tender cactus, green salsa, and pepper cheese. Shantytown Bar and Grill is located at 8512 Pillsbury Ave. S. and is open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-12 a.m.
- Snuffy’s Malt Shop
The newly opened Snuffy’s Malt Shop in Bloomington has a reputation for juicy burgers packed with flavor and tasty malts to accompany them. Their menu includes a selection of classic burgers like your traditional bacon cheeseburger, turkey burger, and veggie burger. They have signature burgers with exciting toppings for those feeling adventurous. You can choose between the Jalapeno Bacon Bleu, Spicy Snuffy Burger, Big Mike, and more. Don’t forget to pair your burger with a creamy malt or finish off your meal with some ice cream.

- Burger Burger
Burger Burger uses all-natural Angus beef that is ground in-house daily and served with locally sourced produce and fresh buns. They have been featured in Burger Hunter’s Secrets of the City for their burgers. Burgers that stand out on this menu include the Mac Daddy, which incorporates macaroni and cheese into the burger, and the John Wayne, which has onion rings and bacon stacked inside the burger. Burger Burger has vegan and plant-based burgers for anyone who is not interested in a beef patty.
Burger Burger is located inside the Mall of America on Level 3 South and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
