2025 Ford Transit

Ford offers the 2025 Transit in two trims: the Passenger Van XL and Passenger Van XLT. Three roof heights and three body lengths provide flexibility. The standard 50/50-hinged rear doors in the regular-length models open to 180 degrees, while the low- and medium-roof configurations offer 253-degree openings.

The van measures 235.5 inches in length, 81.3 inches in width, and up to 100.7 inches in height. Both trims include 16.5-inch steel wheels with all-season tires and offer alloy wheels as an upgrade. A body-colored front bumper with integrated fog lamps is standard on the XLT and optional on the XL. Power-adjusting, power-folding heated mirrors with turn signals assist drivers in navigating congested delivery zones.

Ford offers the choice of two powertrains: a 3.5-liter V-6 with a port fuel and direct-injection fuel system that produces 275 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 262 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V-6 rated for 310 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 400 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The EcoBoost-powered Transit boasts a 0-to-60 mph time of 6.7 seconds with a governed top speed of 97 mph. When properly equipped, its maximum towing capacity is 4,500 pounds. Passenger vans can carry a payload of up to 3,475 pounds, which is ample for tools, materials, or luggage. The optional Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system distributes power between the front and rear wheels to maximize traction in challenging conditions, such as muddy work sites.

Both models offer 12- and 15-passenger configurations. Drivers enjoy 40.8 inches of headroom, 41.3 inches of legroom, and 67.9 inches of shoulder room. High-roof models feature 357 cubic feet of cargo space. Driver and front passenger manual reclining bucket seats with adjustable headrests are standard.

Ford's SYNC 4 system, featuring a 12-inch display and connected navigation, is standard on the XLT and optional on the XL. Both trims include full rear-compartment lighting, grab handles, and air conditioning.

The 2025 Transit Passenger Vans come equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360 technology. This package includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot assist, adaptive cruise control, and reverse brake assist. AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, the Safety Canopy system with side-curtain airbags, and the SOS Post-Crash Alert System are also standard. Both models have a lane-keeping system that incorporates driver alert, and the XLT adds Ford's Blind-Spot Information System. A rear view camera with trailer hitch assist is included, while a 360-degree camera with split view is optional.
