2023 Ford Maverick

The 2023 Maverick lineup offers three trim levels, including the XL, which showcases flowing lines and muscular sculpting accentuated by a black mesh grille featuring a black surround. In the truck bed, you'll find Ford's FlexBed system, an amenity that makes adding a bike rack, cargo dividers, and other accessories much more manageable. You also get a multi-position tailgate, six tie-downs, and configurable slots.

The XLT has a gray grille bar, 10 truck bed tie downs, and a storage cubby. The Lariat announces its arrival with a silver grille bar and offers two storage cubbies along with accent lighting on the headlights and taillights.

Ford equips the 2023 Maverick with a 2.5-liter FHEV engine and an electric motor that produce a combined system horsepower of 191. The engine's torque rating is 155 pound-feet. With that much power, you can use the hybrid Maverick to tow up to 2,000 pounds. Ford also offers a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine featuring an output of 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. The gas-powered Maverick has a standard towing capacity of 2,000 pounds, but when you add the Max Tow Package, you get a truck that can tow up to 4,000 pounds.

If you go with the hybrid Maverick, you'll enjoy an electronic continuously variable transmission. If you go with the gas-powered Maverick, your truck will feature an eight-speed automatic. Both systems seamlessly shift through gears for smooth, straightforward acceleration each time you take the wheel. An agile front-wheel-drive system comes standard in hybrid models, while models equipped with the EcoBoost engine allow you to swap out the front-wheel drive for an all-wheel-drive system. Every Maverick features a unibody frame that gives it exceptional flexibility for maneuvering through traffic and venturing down tight trails.

The 2023 Maverick seats five, with the XL featuring Black Onyx and Medium Dark Slate cloth seats, a driver's seat with six-way adjustability, and a passenger seat with four-way adjustability. Inside the XLT, you'll find unique cloth seating surfaces in shades of Navy Pier and Medium Slate. The Lariat has Desert Brown ActiveX seating surfaces, a power-adjustable eight-way driver's seat, and a manual passenger seat with six-way adjustability. No matter what Maverick you choose, you'll get an 8-inch LCD touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2023 Ford Maverick comes standard with a pre-collision assist that provides braking support when it senses an impending collision with a pedestrian or vehicle. Available safety features include a blind-spot information system that alerts you to vehicles traveling in your blind-spot zones. The system can also scan for approaching traffic when driving in reverse. If your Maverick starts to drift, the lane departure warning and lane-keeping aid will provide steering assistance. The Maverick also offers a rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, and auto headlamps.
