2023 Ford F-150 Lightning

The 2023 F-150 Lightning is available in four trim levels, including the Pro, which has a Carbon Black grille flanked by LED projector headlights with dynamic bending. You'll also find black bumpers, a power-locking tailgate, and two front tow hooks. The F-150 Lightning doesn't have an engine, so when you open the hood, you'll find Ford's Mega Frunk (front-end trunk) containing four 120-volt power outlets, a USB-C outlet, and a USB-A outlet.

Ford equips the XLT with a Geometric Gray-Ion Satin Metallic grille featuring signature lighting, LED mirror-mounted spotlights, and an extended running board with enhanced lighting. The Lariat gets LED box lighting, a power tailgate with signature lighting, and a tailgate step featuring a work surface. The Platinum announces its arrival with a Vador Black high-gloss grille featuring tinted chrome accents and lets you take advantage of a twin-panel moonroof.

The F-150 Lightning Pro, XLT, and Lariat models have two electric motors, one for each axle. A standard-range battery powers this dual-motor system, generating 462 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. When you pair the standard-range battery with Ford's Max Tow Package, you can use your F-150 Lightning to tow up to 7,700 pounds.

If you go with the Platinum, you can take advantage of an extended-range battery that enables it to generate 580 horsepower and tow up to 10,000 pounds with the Max Tow Package. The extended-range battery is available for the XLT and Lariat models, giving the F-150 Lightning a 320-mile driving range on a full charge.

Because the F-150 Lightning comes with two electric motors, you can take advantage of all-wheel-drive capabilities for maximum traction and stability. Selectable drive modes help the F-150 Lightning adapt to towing, driving off-road, and other challenging situations. You can brake and accelerate with the same pedal for a seamless driving experience when you engage the one-pedal driving mode. Regenerative braking returns energy to the battery, keeping your Lightning charged while on the road. Independent rear and front suspensions make every drive smoother and more comfortable.

The 2023 F-250 Lightning seats five. The Pro model has vinyl upholstery with heating and four-way manual adjustability for the driver and front-seat passenger. Inside the XLT, you'll find cloth seating surfaces and an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings. With the Lariat, you'll enjoy luxurious leather upholstery, a 10-way adjustable power driver's seat with memory settings, and a multi-adjustable power front-passenger seat. The Platinum's front seats have multi-contour premium Nirvana leather seating surfaces and an Active Motion massage system. Every F-150 Lightning is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

When you drive the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, you get a pre-collision assist system that scans the road for hazards and provides braking support when necessary. An available blind-spot information system monitors your F-150's blind-spot zones and can also monitor your trailer's blind-spot zones when towing. The system also senses cross-traffic when driving in reverse. A lane-keeping system and adaptive cruise control are also available.
