Making the Best Use of the Ford Blind Spot Information System

You have probably had the experience of traveling along a busy highway and not being able to see if there is another vehicle in the blind spot. If you are getting ready to change lanes or turn a corner, it is very important that you know if there is a vehicle in that area.

You are also probably very careful about checking your mirrors too, but that is why the area is called the blind spot because your side mirrors don't always pick up vehicles in that area.

The Ford Blind Spot Information System detects vehicles that are within 10 feet of your vehicle on either side. A warning is given so that you will know a vehicle is in that area. The Ford system is not intended to replace your own visual checking, but it does enhance your ability to know if there is something there. Technology can be very helpful with the enhancement of our own abilities in situations such as this.
