2020 Ford Transit Connect in Bloomington, MN
If you need a midsize van to round out your fleet, it doesn't get much better than the 2020 Ford Transit Connect. Fully customizable, capable, and with enough space to fit your needs, the Transit Connect van is the best addition to your workforce. Take a look at what this year's model can do for you and your work:
Trim Levels
The 2020 Ford Transit Connect comes in three trim levels: the XL, XLT, and Titanium. In addition to these trim levels, you can choose between two wheelbase lengths and many door and window configurations. The 2020 Transit Connect does away with the utilitarian, stripped-down approach you'll find on other cargo vans and gives the class a new style.
Engine
The 2020 Ford Transit Connect's entry level engine is a 169-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline-four that produces 171 pound-feet of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. You also have the option of a diesel-powered 1.5-liter engine if you need more low-end torque or a 2.5-liter inline-four engine for more horsepower. The diesel engine option will be available later on in the year.
Performance
This year's Ford Transit Connect is all about efficiency and ease of use. The automatic start-stop engine lets your Transit Connect shut off when it's idling and come back on when it's time for the next stop. This system improves your fuel efficiency.
When you opt for the Titanium trim level, you'll also get convenient and useful performance features, such as a remote ignition starter, enhanced fog lights, and power-folding mirrors. An anti-lock braking system and driveline traction control help you keep control over your van at all times. Rain-sensing windshield wipers keep drivers' visions clear, and the parking assist technologies make navigating through the city easier.
Interior
The 2020 Transit Connect seats either two, five, six, or seven passengers, depending on the configuration you choose. The van's high level of customization lets you build the perfect cabin for your business needs, whether you need to haul the most cargo or transport the most passengers. As you move up trim levels, you'll get more creature comfort options in your van, such as heated front-row seats and lumbar support.
On the XLT and Titanium, you'll get a floating 6.5-inch multimedia touch-screen display that puts a personal assistant into your van. It's compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which let you connect your phones to the touch screen to create a hands-free experience. Look up directions to your next client, call back to the office, and look up the weather report, all with voice commands.
Safety Features
This year's Transit Connect has access to the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assist technologies that help you and your drivers maneuver through streets more safely. This suite includes features such as the blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system, and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. These innovative systems help your fleet avoid bad situations before they have a chance to happen. The 2020 Transit Connect isn't just a hard worker; it's also an accountable one.
